Financial education for kids

I’m so very envious of kids financial education programs like these.  I worked from the age of 15 through high school and basically blew my money on girls, video games, and beer.  I wonder how much money I would have had if I had saved it or invested it?

You say that as if there is something wrong with blowing your money on girls, video games, and beer.

While I’m probably one of the more diligent about my finances/retirement now, there’s something to be said for enjoying life when you can. I think I’d be pretty disappointed if I ate ramen and scrimped by on everything from now to my 60s, and then had a boatload of cash in retirement.

As a high school teenager I was unlikely to stop spending money on booze, girls, and video games, but I think I could have spent half as much and still enjoyed it.
