September Poker Totals

I’m pleased with my results for September. Despite my adventures in Atlantic City, I made money this month again. And my other wins at live poker games around the area gave me enough buffer to offset my losses in AC.

I mentioned at the beginning of the month that I was going to set aside some money to play Sit ‘n Go tournaments. While I made money at those, I quickly realized that the payoff for those isn’t enough given the luck factor and the speed of the tournament. I started playing 3 Table tournaments instead, which have a higher payoff since they have more entrants. That’s been extremely profitable.

My ring games have been profitable as well. I won $81 at $2/$4 online. I’ve also started playing $25 buy in No Limit and Pot Limit cash games. I’ve mostly sat and waited for great cards and great flops, and it’s been profitable (+$37).
