Empty SF hotels being leased for pandemic and homeless needs

Given the reliance on the tourist industry, I thought we'd see the shuttering of dozens of SF hotels. It appears some of them are being leased for housing for a number of communities right now, including healthcare workers who need to self-quarantine from their family, shelters for the homeless or those who live in SROs (Single Room Occupancy), and self-quarantine rooms for people who want to move out of long term care facilities where there's enormous risk of an infection sweeping through like a wildfire.

The current room inventory is 8,500, but I bet there are a lot more going empty. Staffing is going to be an issue though. How do you run the hotel with staff who are afraid to come to work?
