Support for healthcare reform this Saturday in the Bay Area

SocMed026
This Saturday many of the groups that organized the "teabagging"
anti-tax day protests are going to stand in front of the local offices
of members of Congress and protest anything having to do with reforming
healthcare.  This isn't a difference of opinion (public option vs no
public option?  funding children's healthcare?), the groups organizing
these rallies want nothing at all to change.  I can't fathom that
position.

I am going to go and quietly, civilly, support my member of
Congress (Rep. Jackie Speier) in changing some of the most egregious
parts of the system.  I don't want her to think that these people are
the only voters who feel strongly about this issue.

The "nothing is wrong, no reform at all" crowd's tactics so far
have ranged from disruptive to outright armed threats of violence.  (http://bit.ly/1bgmTX)

Your
help is needed.  If you can spare an hour of your saturday, from
11:45am to 12:45pm and think there's some things the healthcare system
needs fixed, drop me an e-mail and I'll help you get situated. I'll
arrange you a ride, I'll bring you a sign, and markers if need be, so
you can make yourself heard.  If you know your member of Congress, you
can check this list: http://recessrally.com/california/ and find the office of your member of Congress.

Let me know.
